For Creative roles:
Have your portfolio ready. You have much better chances of being seen when you have a strong portfolio in case. A link is ideal. Have stats? Show them.
Best performing creatives goes to first page. Everyone loves a brand expert with a good eye, but DTC asks for one thing and one thing only - performance. Get your Meta and Google ads together and show what has been earning the most money.
For Performance Marketing roles:
Know your channels. The more you're at ease at navigating them, the better your chances to be hired even at the start of your career. Knowledge is your friend.
Multi-channel expert? Name it. Companies love a wizard who can come in and make marketing work in any form or shape.
Say the metrics. If you're generally shy, remember - performance marketing asks to brag. ROAS, CPC, CAC, LTV, CR - know your numbers and brag the results. On CV and in person.
For Operation roles:
Name the processes. Everyone loves an organised manager, but not all organised managers are capable of optimising the processes. Take a minute to list down all the SOPs you've ever written and the systems you've implemented - examples are the keys that unlocks the doors.
Know your systems. Finance or accounting tools, inventory or shipping systems - know it by heart and list them out. Get acquainted with more systems as you go.
